Which sleeping bag?

Evening all!
Which sleeping bag should I go for, the eurohike adventurer 200 or the mountain warehouse apex 250? It’s only for emergencies so I don’t need anything fancy. Just something cheap and cheerful. I’m so indecisive!
Thank you!

Bump sorry it’s the eurohike adventurer 200 comfort or mountain warehouse apex 250. Both similar spec wise.

Links?

No idea about either of them but ours are Tesco, Regatta, Gelert and an unbranded one from a charity shop. All are fine for spring and summer but I take a duvet as well for cooler nights.
Think about whether you want a mummy type bag or something you can move in. I ditched my mummy bag (donated it to ds3, who'd coveted it for years) and got a rectangular one and it's much better as I can roll over without getting in a knot.

May not help you but I am upgrading from a 'mummy-style' bag to the Go Outdoors 'Beast'. I'm fed up of getting tangled up in my sleeping bag and am looking forward to being able to stretch out.

Eurohike.
Warmer.

Thank you! I’ll feel constricted in a mummy style, I like to be able to wriggle round freely.

I've just bought an outwell colibri sleeping bag. I hate mummy bags as I like to move about - this new bag has wings that open up so it's 120cm wide and it has zips at both sides, it's not too heavy or bulky either. Can't wait to try it out in the spring!

llangennith · 05/01/2019 23:19

Two singles that zip together so I can have a double sleeping bag all to myself😊

I think I have the Eurohike one (red and square at the bottom?) I've only used it twice in the summer in the UK and whilst I wasn't cold I definitely wasn't warm. The material is quite slippery. DS and DD both have Vango ones and they are far better quality and actually weren't much more expensive.

Thank you for your suggestion, it’s only for inside the house in case anyone sleeps over. Sleeping bags tend to pack down a lot smaller than a duvet!

A duvet can pack down very small with the use of one of those hoover bags if it's just for use at home. Just an idea Smile
Otherwise definitely avoid mummy bags. DH is the only person I know who likes them and my heart would sink if I was presented with one to sleep in. I like to sleep like a starfish!
