Just saw some in Aldi...£3.99 each. Now, ds and I are 'coldies' and was wondering if these would help a bit.
Do they?

Are they fleecy ones like they had in Lidl a little while ago? If so they are brill. At half term everyone else was complaining about feeling cold but ds and I were lovely and warm. I'd like a couple more really as dd has almost outgrown the little one she has but we haven't got an Aldi near us. We'll, they are halfway through building one but it's said 'opening spring 2007' for at least a year and it doesn't look anywhere near finished!

Unfortunately not...
just bog-standard polycotton mummy style ones i think. Will look out for fleecy ones (didn't know they existed)

What sort of sleeping bag do you have troutpout?

We have a kingsize flannel lined one from Argos and it's gorgeous and warm - we were a bit too warm at Whit actually. But we can't buy kingsize sleeping bag liners anyway....

I'd suggest getting thermals to wear under PJ's instead and socks!

Troutpout · 24/06/2007 14:04

They are 3 season Vango sleeping bags.
..i'm a wuss aren't i?
I wear lots of layers..but yep..i might go for proper thermals..thanks

3 season!! well that doesn't account for the British summer then does it?

Try these chaps for your thermals - now that Damart has closed down!

They were advertised as fleece sleeping bags but were very thin so we use them as liners. We have a ready-bed which isn't that thick anyway so an extra layer is usually needed.

fleece sleeping bags in lidls are grt we got them for the caravan and normal sleeping bags and to be honest the fleece is all we use the normal bags to warm and thats includin my kids 4 of them they love there fleece and wash well

Flease liners are cozy if a bit bulky, silk liners are cozy and pack down tiny and weigh next to nothing, I've just done my 1st trip with silk and it was fantastic.
poly cotton, is more about keeping your sleeping bag clean, good if you or dh are sweaty or go to bed grubby.
warm pyjamas might be usefull if your coldies. Flease liners are easy to make yourself with only basic sewing machine skils. no hemming required, you can hand sew them them but its quicker with a machine.
