Does asthma mean an end to camping?

We all love camping but ds2 (2y) has just been diagnosed with asthma. Does camping make it worse or do I put my tent on ebay?

I camp with asthma no problem. As long as it is well controlled it's fine. Probably very good because it's healthy, wholesome, outdoorsy fun.

The only problem we have had with camping and asthma (and this is with dp whose asthma is quite bad) was not having airbeds. Dp got too cold and couldn't warm up and as a result had a very bad attack.

But that was one March when it was quite chilly anyway.

We both have asthma and often got better when we were camping cos of lack of pollution (where we were) etc.

If pollen is a problem try the seaside. I always feel better by the sea.

thanks Spider that's what I thought. We were camping and had to take him to A&E on Sat. I think he would have ended up in A&E camping or not tbh, so we decided to get out there, and now I'm reflecting on whether that was the right decision. he's fine now btw
