What do we need at night this summer?

I've camped the last few summers and am used to bring fleeeces, warm pyjamas and then thick sleeping bags but we're heading off this week and I'm a bit confused! Cool pjs and warm sleeping bags? Usual warm kit? Pjs but sheets to sleep under?2

I'd probably wear summery pyjamas, take my normal sleeping bag but be prepared to sleep on top of it, and not bother about a sheet.
Put your tent somewhere where it will get afternoon shade or set up your tent as late as possible to avoid heat building up. If you have this option, another way to help reduce heat on your tent, is to string a tarp over the tent, leaving enough room for air to circulate between tent and tarp. It provides another layer of protection from the sun.

I camped last week when it was 34 degrees during the day. It was still freeing cold at night especially when you are up till 2am drinking gin but warmed up very quickly in the morning. Wear your usual warm clothes after sundown and be prepared to take them off quickly in the in the morning as it will start to warm up as soon as the Sun hits the tent. The kids had long pyjamas on them rather than summer ones.

We had our army wool blankets plus sleeping bags and normal pyjamas (long sleeves to keep bugs off when outside in the evenings).

We used our sleeping bags zipped open as a duvet as it was warm at night. Only needed the wool blanket when it got nippy in the early hours (but over the sleeping bag as they’re itchy). Much much more effective than fleecy blankets.

Watching with interest as we go tomorrow. The last few trips its been frreeeeeeeezing at night and its a long time since I have been camping in such nice weather so I'm wondering how it will be at night.

Am kind of dreading getting ovened out of the tent at 6am!

How lovely to camp without fear of foul weather!
I think it still has the potential to feel cool overnight so would take plenty of bedding. You can always sleep on top of it if you don't need it, but if you don't have it and do need it, you'll be miserable!
Take a compass and camp in a location which the sun won't hit til 8 or 9 (or whenever you intend to get up).

I have learned so much from the comments. Thanks for posting this anyway.

We camped last weekend.

Took usual PJs. It was hot going to bed so we opened up the sleeping bags and slept on them like that. Took some fleece blankets and was glad of them (and the top half of the sleeping bag) in the middle of the night when it did get chilly. Come 6am we then needed to throw the layers off again!
