We are off to Les Mouettes in August in our caravan - any hints, tips, advice, day trip ideas please?! There’s me, dp, and 3 ds’s (12, 10, 5). I would be very grateful for any wisdom!

Don't eat in the onsite restaurant. Either cook your own or eat out!
Again, don't buy from the onsite supermarket (unless it's fresh croissants) as for some items it's as much as double the price of other supermarkets. We used the supermarket in St Paol de Leon.
Hire bikes from the site so that you can cycle to the nearest sandy beach. Take a backpack so that you can pack all your beach stuff.
Carantec is an attractive family resort. For a relaxing afternoon, ‘Claude Goude Park’ is a lovely spot for a picnic. Another perfect spot for a family picnic is the Ile de Batz – it’s a short boat ride and gives a great perspective of the dramatic coastline. The trip takes just over 15 minutes and tickets are available from the pier.Whilst in staying at Les Mouettes you must take a trip to Château de Taureau which guards the entrance to Morlaix Bay. Boat trips depart from Carantec and usually take 2 hours, which includes one hour to tour the bunkers, passageways, drawbridge and the three floors of the restored fortress. The trips can be booked at the ticket house at Kelenn beach.
Ecopark Adventures Penze is an excellent high ropes centre with 7 different courses and a maze. Children as young as 5 can take part.

Millimat, that's how my dh felt when he found it online - it was tricky getting booked in though as it seems they are fully booked most of the time! We'll have to get organised next year...

We went to les mouettes 5 years ago and will be going again this August! We loved it last time and have tried to book since, but it has always been full or the ferry hasn't matched up.

We will be doing the Plymouth - Roscoff overnight ferry as the site is a short drive from Roscoff.

From what I can remember, there was a kids disco (with catchy European tunes), followed by outdoor entertainment on a stage.

My dc loved the indoor and outdoor pool and there was a nighttime swimming session on one of the nights too.

We went to a lovely beach quite often and ate at the restaurant there. The water would come right up high on the white diving thing in the photo.

Your beach photo looks amazing! Is that the one closest to the site?

The boys are looking forward to the swimming pool mostly I think, although I fancy a few catchy European tunes!!
