Eurocamp non tent accomodation

Has anybody stayed on a Eurocamp site without camping? If so what is the accomodation like? In some pics it looks a bit dated and like it could possibly be grubby.

We are not campers but the idea of a holiday during school holidays that’s not as expensive as a Hotel break does appeal.

We recently stayed in a mobile Home thing in Carnac at Eurocamp. It was dated but perfectly functional and relatively clean. You need to bring your own bedding though or you can pay extra and hire it. We paid extra to hire it and really wished we’d taken our own instead - the sheets were knackered and damp.

We just stayed at Les Ormes and booked via lifestyle (I would recommend them). Unit was 1 year old, incredibly clean. Best holiday we have ever had (and one of the cheapest).

It's a very basic caravan. There are a few different types. The classic is tiny with little storage, the esprit is a wee bit roomier but still basic. The espace has much nicer sofa & kitchen but still basic. I love them and am only indoors to sleep - constantly on the patio if we're at the van. Patios are well set out with loungers and plenty of chairs. It's a great holiday - outdoors all the time.

I've been to three sites and have loved them all. Great beaches, lovely pools, shop, restaurant (varying quality) etc.

I've always found them to be spotlessly clean and the kitchen well stocked for cooking.

...plus the eurocamp staff have always been lovely and helpful.

Thanks all. Grubby accomodation is something that really stresses me out about going away.

We spent a week in a really tatty and dirty villa this year and I was so uncomfortable the whole time. My husband and kids aren’t bothered at all but it spoils the holiday for me.

I’m aware this means I have issues 😫

I'm looking at Eurocamp for next year and can't see anything in the brochure about needing to bring own bedding?? Do they just tell you when you arrive? We are looking at flying and getting a transfer so would add to our luggage if we have to bring sheets etc ...

Bedding provisions here by site

We did several holidays like this. They are small, basic static caravans. Clean. We flew, and hired their bedding (and a kitchen starter pack, iirc). Kids had a blast, and for me that makes a good holiday!

for the linen you have to take your own unless it states otherwise, i think the top accommodation Aspect come with linen included but for all others its required to bring your own

they have recently changed whats included and i think in most of France now duvets are included otherwise its a blanket but they never seem to be washed so we stay clear of them

We have used sleeping bags in past or even when flying purchased bedding from local large supermarket as it works out cheaper then hiring and brand new so cleaner

Had a lovely time in one
They were fantastic and the statics were decent and enough for what we needed.

Outing myself but we're currently in Spain at Vilanova Parc a huge site with good facilities. We're staying in a 3 bedroom mobile with Lifestyle Holidays, reconvened on MumsNet. It's been brilliant, bedding and towels all clean and fresh and the mobile while not brand new was clean on arrival. We've also used Key Camp years ago in France and they were great too, do they still exist?

Kids wanted to go on a resort holiday and as they are teenagers it was the only affordable way as they need their own rooms and me and DH don't fancy kipping on a sofa bed in the living area for 2 weeks. Villas we liked were too expensive.

Kewqueue · 15/08/2018 17:54

We booked through Eurocamp site but were staying with Al Fresco and it was grubby! Check the small print to make sure you are actually in Eurocamp accommodation.

We've done eurocamp the last few years, but have booked through the Sun holiday vouchers scheme, which makes it an absolute bargain. I know we are lucky, th ough that we break up for summer early enough to take advantage of this and that they don't have dates through most of the school holidays. However, the accommodation has been very clean, well stocked and a good base for washing, sleeping and eating. I wouldn't go if I were wanting to spend lots of time in the accommodation, but as a base it's fine. We've also always hired the bedding and it's been fine. Nice and clean and easier than taking your own. These sites have been in France and I've always picked the 4 and 5 star campsites as they have lots of activities on site for the kids. We are hoping to try one in Spain next year.

We’ve been doing Eurocamp mobiles for twenty years and never had a grubby one. Have booked linen for the last few years and it’s been fine. We used to take sleeping bags for the kids and tuck our duvet over the contents of the car boot. Now most sites in France have duvets.

LarryFreakinStylinson · 15/08/2018 18:03

We’ve booked via Roan camping which is a Dutch company, I’ll attach pics of our accommodation...

More than adequate for four of us, clean, bedding extra but only a tenner or so. It’s the first time with this company but we’ve been to others previously. We love it.
