....... not the plastic bottles, as they might split (or would they ).

Thought it would be useful as an extra cooling device in the cool box and would keep longer.

you can freezr milk - yes!

if you want to freeze in one of the plastic containers, open it pour of some and then freeze.

remember to shake well once defrosted

I quite often freeze a plastic bottle of milk. have never had one split - yet. Agree it's a bit of a risk.

I always freeze my milk in the palstic containers and no harm comes to it. I buy it in bulk once a week and then freeze

never had one split; we freeze normally & do as you say for camping.
If you're worried about splitting you could put it in a plastic bag.

I regularly freeze milk too with no problems. I do find it better to freeze the 1 or 2 pint bottles though as I find the 4 pint ones take forever to defrost.

I too freeze the plastic.

I live life on the edge.

yep we do this for camping. also freeze juice and meals e.g. bolognese (prob use on the first night, not try to keep any longer) it all helps

Hi, what about long life milk? You can take quite a few 500ml cartons and they don't need chilling at all and you can just open them as you go along.....
