Help from caravaners.

As there is no caravaning thread I take it they hide in here.

Well I have inherited a caravan for nothing and found somewhere to keep it all year, kids are dead excited but.....

I need to know when do I start sporting dodgy sandals, getting excited about melamine, worrying about cassette toilets and hankering after a table lamp for the awning?

You see I wonder if I have the comitment to be a proper caravaner as I am unlikely to ever be seen polishing my "van" when I arrive on site and laugh a lot a people (like my PIL) that take it all so seriously.

Love the Lee evans sketch about caravaning .

Well we got ythe caravan and it is in better condition than we thought, only needs a couple of new tyres. Not bad considering it hasn't moved for about 6 years.

Inside is dry and just a little musty but not damp, it is of course all brown and beige but even brand new ones seem to be, so we will be redecorating with new curtains and throws until I can make new cushion covers.

OK I admit it I am quite excited about our first trip out

Skribble, we are going to the Bongo Bash in Stourport, Worcestershire this weekend. Last year there were 195 Bongos in the Rally Field, so we're hoping for some lovely weather. Oh, in case you didn't know what a Bongo was, it is a Japanese People Carrier www.bongofury.co.uk
