Just come back from camping and had awful sleep even though it was an aerobed. I shared with DD who moves a lot. It may have been ok on my own
I want a SIM but I sleep on my side. Will it be like sleeping on the floor?
I guess 10cm. Is there much difference between brands

I have a 10cm Outwell Dreamcatcher and have never looked back. I sleep on my side (and I'm not a lightweight Blush) and it is so much more comfy than an air bed.

Was recommended on here so can't comment on other makes another MN purchase!

A 10cm Kampa Kip has been great for me. I did have a similar depth dreamcatcher but it only lasted one season, the valves went. We had two weeks in the tent this summer and I slept better than I had been at home!

MagdalenLaundry · 18/08/2017 07:31

June is the kampa kip as comfortable as the dreamcatcher?

I have the Outwell dream catcher too. It's really comfy, I'm a side sleeper. I've been sleeping on it on dd's floor last we else when she was poorly!

I have 10cm Vango comfort grande. It's more comfortable than my bed at home.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 18/08/2017 09:30

The 10cm dreamcatcher is amazing. I've used mine for ten nights straight and it's as comfortable as my bed at home.

I slept on my side, and the Alpkit Dozer is the most comfy night's sleep I can have anywhere. but never happier than when camping

I'm a side sleeper too and sleep really well on an a 7.5 outwell deep sleep. An air bed was awful but sims are totally different to sleep on.

MagdalenLaundry · 18/08/2017 10:49

Can you really not feel the floor through it?

I wouldn't spend 10 nights sleeping on something I could feel the floor through. So I can whole heartedly recommend the 10cm Outwell. My DH was so impressed with my one that he got one for himself too. The kids sleep on 5cm ones and they have been fine too.

I've found that when they are new you do have to inflate and deflate a few times before you get maximum thickness. The fabric needs to ease a little I think.

Thanks all. I've ordered the 10cm dreamcatcher and hope I don't get dud valves
Is it true they should be stored flat?

Don't forget a decent pillow as well Smile

AngelsWithSilverWings · 21/08/2017 08:22

Re storing flat. I've stored mine rolled for three years and it doesn't seem to have caused any issues. If I had somewhere flat I could store it safely I would.
