Camping in the last week of October - have I thought of everything?

We are going away for DP's birthday in half term (last week of Oct) its not proper camping, its in a couple of interconnected yurts on a farm in Shropshire so there's proper beds, a proper floor, kitchen utensils, a gas BBQ & a wood burner. But there's still no proper toilets or electricity so to DP who prefers your more basic camping its OK. Its a compromise between his back to basics & my idea of camping really. But its still going to be bloody cold! We are going with DCs aged 10 & 6.

Aside from food/waterproofs/warm clothing/usual camping paraphenalia I've thought of these:

Long sleeved pyjamas, dressing gowns & slippers
Hot water bottles
Reusable & disposable hand warmers for the kids (disposable for when we are out & about on the farm trails, reusable for the yurts themselves)
Torches
Candles & tealights with safe stable containers (we also have solar powered lanterns)

Would you take anything else for a cold camping trip? Smile Brew

One of our tents has a woodburner and it is absolutely boiling when it is going.

Do you mean that the yurt you sleep in will not have the burner so you will leave the yurt with the burner in and sleep in one without?

Fleece hats, bed socks and extra blankets if you are not taking your own decent bags to sleep in.

Mulled wine
Marshmallows, squirty cream ( and Baileys?) for hot chocolates. Marshmallows for toasting.

We use our camper in all weathers but DH eats loads when it's cold, so loads of snacks and easy food, cuppa soups etc.
