Tent recommendations for 1 adult, 2 kids and a smelly dog please?!

I'm looking for a tent that I can easily somehow put up on my own.
Probably a 5/6 berth tent as whilst there's only me and 2 littlies, there's also a bouncy dog who seems to takes up more room than the rest of us combined!

I have googled for hours and hours and now my head feels like it might explode Hmm

Ideally, I'd like at least 2 reasonable sized sleeping pods, good living space/head height and for it to be relatively light (both brightness and weight). Does such a beast exist?

Any help or suggestions for what to look for or avoid would be very gratefully received.

I have quite an old tent which is a 6 man tent that I can put up on my own, for myself and 2 DC I just need someone to hold a rear pole for a minute to peg in a couple of guy ropes to secure it, and then get on with securing the rest.

If I had to buy a new tent I would go for something like this

The Millets Sale has a Vango Isis at a v good price . They are really roomy, and you should be able to manage a tunnel tent on your own : the kids can hold a pole steady at the right moment age 4 and up!

I would make the dog sleep in the living area!

Thanks DQ ... that looks good.
I'd come to the conclusion that a tunnel tent is probably the way to go but that's about as far as I got! DD is 7 so is probably capable of 'helping' me in her own way Wink

Blu, I agree about the dog!

As an example. This is the tent I have. I bought it ages ago for £50 from gumtree. It also has a tarpaulin that goes in the front room bit. I have to put the metal poles into the flexible fibreglass poles. It's a Pfaff but still easy enough to put up on my own. If you get similar to the ones recommended above it will be way easier and quicker even then this one.
