3 man tent I can put up by myself?

Any recommendations?! Needs to be pitchable by one fairly clumsy adult (ahem) and have a built in groundsheet. Ds and I want to take quick weekender trips here and there without the big tent :) Any ideas anyone?

I've just ordered a Khyam Freelander...should be perfect for you. It's a pop up and can be up in a couple of minutes. My friend has the Khyam Biker and he gets set up, or packed away, in a very short space of time.

Is DS going to be any help at all? Is he old enough to hold a pole in while you bend the other side? Pretty much any tunnel will be doable if he can help with that bit. We have a Vango Beta 3 man one (about ten years old now) which my girls have been putting up with friends since they were about seven. It is our sleepover tent and one pole is fairly wrecked now but I'd recommend it anyday...it's had a hard life (lots of sleepovers) and still does the trick. The porch isn't sewn in...that's the only downside but I'm sure newer versions will be.

Ooooh thanks, off to Google! Any more easy ones?
Ds might be able to help but just in case not I'd prefer to be self sufficient!! :)

Quechua pop up tents are really easy to put up and really good . I had to practice putting it down though but only takes me about 5 mins now having watched clips on you tube.

Smaller bell tent (3m or 4m)? Not got one myself but interested in one.

I have the outwell fusion 4 man. It's a pop-up and had no probs putting it up or down on my own. It was lovely and cosy as well.

I have the vango omega 350, I love it and can easily do it myself. The groundsheet is built in to the inner tent and you hook it on to the outer in the porch. The porch is roomy so plenty of space for stuff. I spend a week at a time in mine.

Hi, I have a vango Icarus 500, for me a 2 kids. I also put the extension up. Anything that has fibre glass poles are easier on your own. I've been on my own now for a couple of years and have been camping for over 40 days with me and the kids. Also the air beam ones are good, but expensive. Good luck, hope this helps.

I just ordered the Quechua Secondd 4.2xl from decathlon. I'm very excited about it!

I just came home from a week in our old big tent and taking it down was so painful (not surprising as am now sporting a selection of fibreglass splinters).

I would look at something like this or this. In fact I am dithering about those 2 - I am tempted by the Decathlon one because of the little rain porch over the side door.

It would be a doddle to put up.

I have a Decathllon pop-up (smaller than the 4.2, it's more like the previous version of this and it is a bit too basic for anything longer than 2 nights. Not enough zip / vent options, ground sheet in porch not sewn in, can't stand up in the porch area. It is very quick and easy to pitch and strike, but I'm looking for a modest upgrade, and also something I can put up by myself.

My previous Vango tent was bigger than these, and harder to put up as it had full length pole sleeves and a crossed-pole dome arrangement (nightmare) and I could still d it by myself.
