Camping in July in Switzerland and Jura

We are going camping to Interlaken and Jura. I am wondering hiw cold it will be at night.
Do you I need to wrap up as warm or warmer than camping in the UK?
I take a heater usually when camping in the uk for chilly evenings, shall I pack it or no?
I can only find average daily temperature fir these regions which looks warm but its nights I am worrying about. We will be packing ptoper walking kit for dats at higher altitudes but do I need to squeeze in fluffy onesies, lots of fleece blankets etc.

As always with camping I am trying to save car space where possibleSmile

Can't help with temperatures but watching as we're off to the jura in Aug.

I'd expect it to be similar to UK night time temperatures. By the way, we camped at Interlaken a few years ago, by the lake. The campsite was the most crowded I have ever been in, no pitches laid out and tents all in top of esch other. It was unexpected for Switzerland!! May have changed, but must sdmit we'd be reluctant to go back

Jungfrau (I'm assuming you're referrig to Top of Europe/Jungfraujoch, not the actual mountain) will be properly cold (think UK winters and then some) even in mid-summer.

Interlaken an Jura tend to be warmer than the southeast during the day - 25 to 30 degrees Celsius is usual; don't expect temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms are frequent, though, and it can get quite chilly very rapidly.

And since you're going to be in the area anyway: don't miss out on the city of Berne. one of the loveliest old towns I've ever seen, pretty much the entire city centre is pedestrianised and there's a brilliant outdoor cafe culture. If you like ice cream go to Gelateria di Berna, it's fab! And: Don't even think about bathing in the river there if you're not olympic gold standard swimmers; the current is stronger than it seems!

Feel free to ask if you want to know anything else: I've worked in the area for going on two years now.

Where in the jura are you staying?
Years ago as a child we stayed on a campsite in Lauterbrunnen, with views of the jungfraujoch. It was v idyllic. We did a husky dog ride at the top.

I camped just outside Zermatt a few years ago in August. Don't remember it being overly cold at night. We had 4 season sleeping bags but no heater.
