Beach site with play ground

can you help? I have left booking our holiday stupidly late.
We'd like to be near the sea, either Norfolk or South Wales (I know those places have nothing to do with each other but the logic is that Norfolk is near and convenient, but South Wales is exciting because we have never been)

we'd like a family friendly campsite if poss with a children's playground on site.
Quiet
Walking distance to beach would be ace
somewhere with trees for natural shade would be lovely too

Basically anywhere nice where I can still book us in for school holidays would be great!

any ideas, wise mumsnetters?
thanks!

You could try Clippesby Hall, ticks all your boxes but it's a short drive to the nearest beach.

Excellent kids play stuff in more than one area, including a zip wire and a very teeny swimming pool, all set in the woods.

It has a reputation for being hard to book, but I have booked very last minute on two occasions and been fine. Both times when I was there July/August there were lots of empty pitches too.

thanks Gobblers! (are you named after a real ale?) Looks pretty booked out for our dates - but we could try 3 nights and then maybe go somewhere else? Looks lovely, thanks

any ideas, anyone else?

We're staying at Manor farm, East Runton. That had play areas and a beach nearby.

We are doing Waxham Sands for the 2nd time this year in August. Old fashioned campsite on the beach in Horsey, Norfolk. It was brilliant when we went at the end of half term and I'm hoping it won't be too different in August although I'm aware it will be busy. Has a playground and a mini golf place - my kids adored it there.

I would certainly recommend Waxham Sands. We have been for the last three years. It's right next to the beach and has a very chilled out atmosphere. Children can also spend hours playing in the dunes as well as the large play area. Sea Palling is just up the road too which has kayaking and small cafes and a lifeguard.

I forgot to mention it's also about 16.50 a night with ehu.
