5 berth tent for weekends - any suggestions?

Or does anyone recommend theirs? We have a larger tent for week long stays but want something quicker to put up and lighter. The theory is that we will need less stuff for a weekend so need less space. I have looked at a fair number but they are all starting to blur in my memory so was after any personal views.
Thanks

I can reccomend NOT to get a kampa tent as we used our new one this weekend for the first time and it was pants compared to our outwell Nevada. Which I would reccomend, not sure what size though. We are 3 and had a five berth but we like space. Also I think you take just as much for a weekend that you do for a longer stay as you do for longer.

We also use a Nevada for single nights but upsize to the maryland or our dewaard albatross for longer stays. Our Nevada is about 4 years old and the medium I think...2 rooms side by side. We rig up the extension to our michigan if needed. It almost fits. Incase you hadn't realised...our cars don't fit in the garage as we're serial tent buyers!! They're all used too!!

The Vango Icarus 500 is pretty good for a weekend; you can attach a separate canopy/extension if you want but even without this we have found it is a good size for four of us for one or two nights.

jinglebells sorry to hijack, but what didn't you like about the Kampa? I had been thinking of getting one.....

We have a Freedom trail kanaka and love it. Much lighter and about a third of the packed size of our Khyam XXL but oddly, we don't seem to have lost anything as still have two good sized bedrooms and a good sized central space we can stand up in. It is easy to put up and it was a must for us that we could throw it in the boot and that the children could help put it up.

Hi lebasi, well - the steel frame poles are so heavy I can't carry them on my own. They were impossible to fit together. Then the internal rooms tore on their first outing. Plus things were the shape and size but I think I could replicate it with an outwell. The main anti for us is the weight and room of the poles.

we take 2 pop-up tents. The permutation varies according to how many DC of what age, but presently we take 2 base seconds and have an inner bedroom in one, and seating/storage in the other. With 5 of you, I'd suggest another small pop-up as well. they are really quick & easy to use.

We have the Vango Omega 600XL - it's a perfect tent for the family. It's really easy to put up and take down. I can highly recommend it!
