Campsite for naming ceremony?

We want conduct DS' naming ceremony next summer, rolling the celebrations together to include his birthday and our anniversary. Ideally, we want it to happen outdoors with all our friends and immediate family around. We love the idea of camping (with BBQ or campfire and a professional storyteller on hand), but it would need decent loos and showers. Preferably based in the middle of the country, so everyone can get there.

Can you suggest any good campsites - either renting a field for the weekend, or taking over the whole site? We are looking at scout camps, but alcohol on site may be an issue.

You need something like Eweleaze, but more central... hopefully some campers will be along soon with ideas.

There's a place in the Midlands- Umberslade Farm where you could hire the field, if you arrange it beforehand. They've a website, and they offer teepee camping too for those that don't have their own tents etc. Maybe have a look, as it's just by the M40/M42/M6 junctions, so good for people coming from all over. The farm do lovely food too...

Hardwick Park in Oxfordshire is nice - has big fields and decent loos/toilet.

There's a rally field with hookup if needed and there's a large room available which may be useful if the weather is mixed. I think toilets etc are only available if you book the big room anyway but I'm sure they'd be interested in helping you out.

It's not in the middle of nowhere though but it's a halfway point. Not all your guests may be campers

Forest of Dean/Cotswold area is pretty central??

Highly recommend this campsite they do group bookings, have a massive sing around the camp fire area, stuff for the kids to do during the day if they want. We (a bunch of A and E nurses) went there and we had a ball. Plus they have a bar onsite which was fab. Plenty of space. Firepits. Brilliant.

We went to white mark farm in Watlington in Oxfordshire for our wedding. They have a field and basic showers and loos but also sinks, fridges and a microwave which is handy for more light weight campers (we cycle). It is quite close to the m40 so pretty easy to get to, if not the most central.

There is one up towards Whitby but I can't think of the name. Bbl
