Camping and potty training

Wise? DD will be 2 soon and is showing signs of being ready for potty training. When in the garden with no nappy on will suddenly shout "oh no DD wee wee grass!" and waddle towards the potty attempting (unsuccessfully) to halt flow.

I don't want to leave it too long (seize the day and all that) but we are going camping in 4 weeks and not sure what to do.

My dd was just over 2 when we first took her camping and she was at the same stage of potty training. We just carried on, it wasn't a problem. In fact in some ways it was better than at home because we were spending more time in close proximity (ie could be ready to pounce) and groundsheets are easier to clean than carpets! Obviously she had to wear a nappy for the long journey there but with a couple of windbreaks up there was plenty of privacy. She hadn't got as far as attempting night-time training though which we might have had to think twice about!

Same here. I started potty training a couple of weeks before dd's 2nd birthday and we were due to go camping a a couple of weeks after that. She was absolutely fine during our camping trip and would either go with me to the toilet block or go on her potty - I always gave her the choice. On the last morning though she was in her 4th set of clothes by 10 am! But she did have a cold and hadn't slept very well so was really tired. That may have had something to do with it because she soon got back on track.
