Hi
After many recommendations for holidays with our LO, we have had some lovely breaks and now i am after some more advice. For our holiday next year we would like to go camping on the med coast of france. Can anyone recommend a campsite that is within walking distance of a beach and also walking distance of a small town for us to wander in the evening? Our ds will just have turned 2 when we go so we would like a pool but not too bothered about kids clubs etc.
Thanks!

Well, no recommendations yet, but we are going here: www.brasilia.fr/uk/ in early Septeber. I think it ticks your boxes and I will report back after we get home Grin

Prairies de la Mer in the gulf of St Tropez is right next to the beach and you can wander around Port Grimaud of an evening. The campsite across the road has a pool but I can't remember its name. I'll see if I can find it.

Wow, thanks, that looks lovely. One question that i am not sure if anyone can answer - i
have read that men must wear speedos at the pool, is thay true? My husband is horrified lol!

yes generally in France that is true. But you can get ones which are boxer style rather than proper budgie smugglers. Decathlon do some very cheap which is good if your dh is never planning to wear them outside France.

Camping Le Pylone just outside Antibes is a lovely site. It has a pool. It is a short walk to the station where you can get the train to Monte Carlo. The other direction takes you to Antibes and Juan Les Pins. It is within walking distance of a lovely little town called Biot.

We stumbled on Camping Aguy Soleil on the Cap l'Esterel - it's not a static caravan park (unlike the horrible place we found ourselves in at Biot, hence the last-minute relocation!), it has a mix of chalets, motor homes and tents. There's a gate onto the beach from the campsite and a sweet little seaside town behind the beach. It's not typical of a Côte d'Azur town because the Cap l'Esterel is a small national park (some nice walks), but its easy enough to drive along the coast road to the usual places you'd want to visit.
