Well not as such.

I just felt like doing a stock check as it were...and if anyone wants to do swapsies then please go ahead!

Here we currently have:

Soulpad 4000 ease. Brilliant and lovely Smile we just got back from a few days in it and it poured with rain but it didn't leak at all.

Outdoor revolution Starcamper, 3 person tent - takes 4 children and an adult, if you use the living area, but that's best for garden style camping - probably only 3 people for a proper trip.

It's very nicely made but too small for us now...

1980s? French cotton frame tent, holey and a bit knackered but waterproof and lots of fun. It is orange - the sun shining through it is superb!

Ex army tent (ds1's own)

Cath Kidston wendy house tent Blush which I think technically is appalling but still.

That is all.

So what has everyone else got?

We've got a 5M Soulpad with ZIG (sorry kitbit I think you are right, you really do need one!)

12 man Outwell which is bigger than a few houses I have owned but is awesome for a longer camp where it might rain because you have a HUGE living room in the middle.

Quecha 4.2 pop up which has traveled literally thousands of miles with us across Europe and we can now go from car full to pitched and ready for swimming in 10 minutes.

Quechua 2 man pop up for the eldest boys. To go with above.

Halfords 4 man tent which we bought 5 years ago with air beds and sleeping bags for £99 and was what got us into this sorry state of addiction to sleeping outdoors!

I never thought I'd feel camping-inadequate, but now I do!

We've only got a little 2 man pre-DS super light thing and an Outwell Georgia 5P (which is enormous and I love it!).

I've finally managed to wedge DH out of the outdoor industry so our Cave of Wonder the garage shouldn't gather too many more toys.

Rather than tents, it's all about the other kit for us now. We need to invest in a campingaz range 2-ring/grill thing and a new double sleeping bag. And the old Wide Airic has sprung a leak.

Bramblesinforrin · 11/08/2013 17:45

You neeeeed a soul pad 5m zig, kitbit. This is what the wise camping ladies of mnet told me, and they were absolutely right. :D

LostInWales · 11/08/2013 17:56

See kitbit, that's two of us agreeing, I think that means you really, really do need one Grin

Ineedmorepatience · 11/08/2013 18:34

I have

An Outdoor Revolution scenic 7 which is lovely but heavy and tired now.
A Quechua 4.1 which is my absolute favourite tent, I usually attach a base seconds as a porch too.
A Quechua family 4.2 xl that we havent tried yet but was in the sale for £119 so I bought it Grin
And 2 outwell pop ups that hardly ever come out of the loft as I need to stand up in the morning and struggle in them.

I love camping Smile

onaroll · 12/08/2013 13:52

Loving that I am not the only one with 'more than one' tent. Grin

Conway Cardale Trailer DL trailer tent - bought for me as a surprise birthday present from my Dad. Don't know if I ever would of bought one. It's lovely but doesn't get enough use :-( Have now lost my Dad, so it's hugely 'sentimental' .

Kampa Holkham 6 ( the pre runner of the Filey Classic ) - my 'family' tent, love it.

Kampa Frinton 4 classic. Smaller version of above for weekends or just me & Dd.

Relum Izmir Delux - seriously love this tent. Saw one then searched for one for nearly 2 years. Love the pyramid style. Used this on my own a few weeks ago - bliss.

Cabanon Adventure with the canopy. Bomb proof , brilliant in the snow !

Gelert twister 5 bought in haste before I knew what I wanted in a tent.

Sssh , got a Vango tempest last week, for use as a pup tent for my Ds , so he can bring a friend camping. Or quick overnighter only.

Various comparable canopies / vestibules / kitchen tents etc.

Looks awful when you put it all down .......

MidnightMagic · 12/08/2013 14:04

This is my first ever post after lurking for a few months (am I allowed to just jump straight in and post?)

I only have one tent and I love it. It's an Outwell Hartford XL. I did have a vango solero as my first tent but I got tent envy and had to buy a bigger one.

hillbilly · 12/08/2013 14:10

Where do you guys keep all these tents?????

We have an Outwell Oakland XL with side extension which we love, and a tiny pop up pup tent which we have never used.

NameThatTuna · 12/08/2013 14:19

Im so Envy of all your tents!

I only have one. An Outwell Sun Valley 6. It's an oldy but a spacious one.

We've just come back from a camping trip and I've got serious tent obsession.

I need something like an Outwell Yosemite Falls but without the hefty price tag Grin

RegainingUnconsciousness · 12/08/2013 17:37

I love the Hartford XL. One day...

NettleTea · 12/08/2013 22:49

NOT including the ones on our glampy campsite as technically they belong to the business and not me......

an Albion Canvas 3m bell tent with a special teepee type door
an old lichfield frame tent
a de Waard Albatross
2 x De Waard zilvermeuwws (one standard, one large)
lots of tarps and poles
a couple of loo tents
a Cath Kidston flowery thing which is DDs
a 14ft yurt which is DSs
and a 18ft proper Indian tipi

kitbit · 12/08/2013 23:10

Drooooool

Sad thing is if I agree dh can buy an angle grinder he will probably agree to me buying a Soulpad! Hmm

ecofreckle · 12/08/2013 23:32

After a couple of recent donations we are down to an rv4 oz tent, a small back pack two man, a three man dome and a floral pop up used for storage. No other oz tent fans on here by the looks of it. They rock!

Stropzilla · 12/08/2013 23:40

I don't have one. This makes me very sad and needs to be rectified ASAP!

NameThatTuna · 13/08/2013 10:52

What are frame tents like?

I want a home from home type set up. Big and spacious!

I've only seen one without a sewn in ground sheet. That's a priority for me.

Do they make them?

hz · 13/08/2013 16:35

Blimey NettleTea, A yurt and a tipi on top of all the rest! Plus your site stuff - that is a whole lot of camping stuff. In fact you are like a cool version of 'Go Outdoors!'

NettleTea · 13/08/2013 23:59
Blush I suspect it more a case of obsessional OCD like buying.......
Pixel · 14/08/2013 00:49

Evasion 6 (first tent, special offer sleeping bags/airbeds included type deal but no SIG so far too draughty).
Vango Diablo 600. Fabulous tent but a pig to put up.
Khyam Harewood (six berth) plus porch, which we are currently using.
Tesco 3 man with a little porch area built in, my personal favourite, so cute!. It cost me £9, I've used it loads of times and it's never leaked or anything - bargain!
Tesco 2 man, pretty with leaf design all over it, used a few times before I realised there was nowhere on it to attach guy ropes as I'd never bothered, figuring it was only ever one night and it wouldn't blow away with someone in it!

makemineaginandtonic · 14/08/2013 08:41

Crikey you all have so many tents!! Is it like pushchairs, you can't have just one?

Would be very interested to know how the bell tents compare to the mainstream tents. I really want one but DH is not keen. Do you notice that they don't have windows?

MummyPigsFatTummy · 14/08/2013 09:59

You do notice that bell tents don't have windows, yes. But it only really matters on a rainy day and it is a trade-off for their loveliness in other ways.

We get by by also having a tarp or event shelter we can cook and sit under when it is raining and by keeping the tent door open during the day.

And on sunny days you can roll the sides up and bring the outside in that way.

Rooners · 14/08/2013 10:31

I liked it having low down windows. You can see out if you get right down on the floor! Or just sit by the door.

Difficult to use an awning on a bell tent though, we tried, it didn't work.

I didn't like our ZIG we used to have - found it stressful with the zip. Though it is nice to be able to take off the top and pack it, then roll the groundsheet separately.

I have the SIG now and much prefer it.
