I think it depends what you like to do with it.
I love our Cadac because of the instant heat. We use it to BBQ (sausages, steak, chops, cheese and tomato sandwiches on grill) and fry breakfasts and make stir fry. For frying yes, liner is perfect as it makes washing up a doddle.
I haven't camped abroad, but apparently you can buy canisters easily and cheaply in most places.
If however you like proper cooking when you camp (whole chicken, bread etc), I can see how the Cobb might suit you better.
We don't bother taking anything for overnighters though - just take a normal pan or small grill to use over fire.
