It depends what your policy says. But dont get a quote for the campervan from a normal ins co, because theyre all really expensive.

There is a specialist company that does cheap policies esp for campervans. Theyre either called Leeds, or in Leeds. The latter, I think.

Hope someone else knows!

Hi Skribble am picking up my camper tomorrow,
Sureterm Direct seem to be reasonable with their quote being half what I had previously been quoted by my usual insurer

Their number is 0870 2020230

We were originally quoted nearly seven hundred it is now down to 295 so not bad, fully comp, you have to be over 25 though to be eligible for this cheaper classic car insurance. hth what are you getting let me know!!

Thanks I checked and I would definatly need a proper insurance for a van, It looks like it would all cost to much to run a camper and a family car.

I insure my motorhome through Churchill ,cos Adrian flux wanted about £700 and they only charge £300. HTH

make sure you get an agreed valuation.

Jux · 08/03/2009 18:57

Ours is insured with NFU.

basically then they can't argue the toss over what it's worth if you need to write it off - you send in a load of pictures, receipts etc. and they give you a form stating the agreed value.
