We got our tables from go outdoors. you can adjust each leg individually so if the ground is uneven you can still have a straight table and to whatever height you want it at. i think they were about £20 each but well worth the money.

ooh that looks good. no apparently he can't. he goes mental if he isnt sitting where we are, using adult cutlery he cant manage, drinking from the same cup as us etc etc. but that is probably an issue for another thread!

Lurks - we have one of those folding picnic table things and for unspecified reasons is driving me mad - I suspect its about wanting to buy new camping kit.
I would like something with decent seats (not folding camping chairs as they tend to be too low and not upright enough)

Well we used to put our toddler in an IKEA antilop highchair camping - the legs come off and it is v cheap but if he won't sit in that you could try strapping his booster seat to a regular camping chair (one that folds flat with a metal frame might be better than the usual camping ones).

One thing we used to do was put DD in a child's camping chair and put the bag it came in round the frame with the shoulder strap across her body to hold her in (sort of). However, she was a pretty good sitter - with an escapee type I dont think that would be very successful.

Table wise we have a fold up table with two benches which form a sort of suitcase over the table: mingsmark.com/products/product_view2.asp?big=&small=&did=960. It is sturdy but not much good for very small children obv.

dh wants a folding bench with inbuilt seats thingy but i am really not sure it will work and suspect it is just another camping gadget! we have taken booster and big chair before but chair takes up so much room. quite like the ikea highchair idea but that might take up even more room! i spot a gap in the market!

What about these? Bit pricey maybe but maybe they can be found cheaper somewhere else: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Quest-Travel-Kids-Folding-High-Chair-Pink-Blue-/321133871927

Lightweight furniture being tipped over by DC is the nightmare of camping - we once had to mop up four bowls of milk and cereal from the tent groundsheet Angry Grin

Twin height table is totally the way to go, then you can use those folding canvas armchairs and not have the table at chin height but more at coffee table height. Then the DC can just sit on a box or low stool at it, rather than wobbling about on adult-height stools or chairs.

18mths is a difficult age - can you use the pushchair as a "highchair" if you're taking it?

I have seen some families (dedicated campers) who have simply brought along a mini patio set for the kids - like this without the umbrella, I can see the attraction!

I found a child sized folding camping chair slowed my DS down at this age, it sinks in in the middle so is a bit slower than moving off from an ordinary chair. like this kind

Otherwise I used to use a fabric harness that could go on almost any chair and used to shove a changing bag under it if chair was too low.

I also used a folding clothes stand type thingy to hang stuff up in the tent out of toddler's reach.
