Any advice? Eurocamp style holiday in mind...

I was hoping that I could tap in to the massive collective wisdom that is Mumsnet as I am gettingsmi a bit bogged down with all the choice!
I have one 6 year old and a 3 year old DD who has autism and is very anxious as a result. The older one would be totally up for kids clubs but the youngest would need fun activities which allow a parent to be right there with her as she couldn't be left.
So really we are looking for a child and toddler friendly holiday, in the school holidays so from the 21st July onwards, and in a 2 bedroom mobile home with hopefully pools, beach, places to eat etc. We are looking at 2 weeks, and wanting to take the car.As we are up north already we were hoping not to drive for too long on the other side, but could run to stopover on the way for a 2 week trip. Last big holiday in France was pre kids and a drive all the way to Languedoc in one day, so you will see why we are wary this time! Looking at a long holiday of 2 weeks. Budget about 600 per head for the campsite max.

Any advice about which company, which location etc would fit this best will be much appreciated Smile.

Les Mouettes in Carantec - if you do the Plymouth to roscoff ferry its a 10 minute drive the other side. Its got a lovely pool area including an indoor heated pool, next to the beach, evening entertainment. The town its in is lovely too. I like Canvas holidays I think their accommodation is better than keycamp or eurocamp.

The campsite put on some nice family activities like shellfish collecting on the beach and nature walks as well as the usual kids clubs and evening shows.

Thank you. I heard good things about Carnac from the in-laws. I will have a look at that one. Thanks for answering so quickly.
Any other tips welcome of course in case they don't have our dates... Grin

Sorry, Carantec, you can tell my autocorrect has been learning some new words lately.

Carnac is nice too. If you don't mind not being near the beach then Chateau Des Orms is worth a look too. I only really know Brittany but I'm sure someone with knowledge of further south will be along soon :)

Oh, just wondered also. ..the ferry to Roscoff...is that Brittany ferries or something else?

Yes its Brittany, about 4 1/2 hours iirc. The campsite is really close you can see the ferries coming in if you're in the front part of the site.

Keycamp and Eurocamp share kids activities, so they are basically the same. For your younger child it sounds like you'll want a site with one of their Mini Fun Stations - they're the under 5s kids club and a parent needs to stay. Loads of the mini fun stations close down in the school summer holidays. I've just had a look at the list and about 5 are open when you want to go:

SolomanDaisy, that's very helpful, thanks.

We like Carisma as smaller & lower key.

Thank you everyone! I have booked a holiday now with all of that advice in mind
