We are visiting Sandy Balls holiday park next week in the New Forest. Please can you advise on quiet beaches, good places to visit etc. I have never visited this area before. Many thanks

Beaches- there is 7miles of sand from mudeford through to Poole and beyond. Lots of access...it's nice at Christchurch etc which would be easy to get to.

It is Bournemouth airshow next weekend - the flights centre over Bournemouth pier, so lots of fun.

Furzey gardens are lovely.

Redshoot pub is a good start/end point for a walk and a pint.

Moors Valley is a very good day out - hire bikes/rope adventure thingy etc. lots of large play structures and den building.

Ring wood has decent shops

Salisbury is v nice

Anywhere in the new forest is great for a picnic!

Swanage steam train

Basically there is loads to do...just depends on what the weather is doing!

Lepe country park has stony beaches but also good walks, a great playground, lovely views and some history from the D day launches. It has a good cafe too.

Exbury gardens is fantastic and has a wonderful small steam train.

There are canoe trips and boat trips on the Beaulieu river as well as the whole Beaulieu attraction itself, which is lovely, especially if you like cars.

Have a great time.

This is a great website for beaches along that part of the coast.

definitely go to Moors Valley

they have a play trail with big wooden climbing frames which the dcs love, they also have a big play area in a giant sand pit, minature train etc
