Drying the tent

Returned fro Isle of wight yesterday, 2 days early because of gale warning.

First trip out with our new polycotton Bear Lake 6. Brought it back sopping wet.

Much harder to dry than our old nylon tent. Heavier and a bit bigger.

Had various bits of it draped over dining room table, front room, garage.

Any bright ideas for drying your tent once home?

Couldn't put it up in the garden as still very windy here.

Well my lovely dh put some hooks in the ceiling in our dining room and we dried it like that with the radiators on through the rest of last summer

We have a dehumidifier because we have to dry clothes indoors and otherwise our house would be a health hazard which is a godsend, best £100 we ever spent at Argos. Bell tent dries in a day or so, obviously we can't use the dining room on the meantime though. One of the BIG downsides to camping.

I drape my bell tent over a sofa and clothes airer and I put the radiator on. It takes about 2 days to get it bone dry. I never put it up in the garden to dry now.
