Have woken up this morning with a burning sensation in my chest, a tickle in the back of my throat and now I have a runny nose :(

We are booked to go camping in North Wales on Friday for the jubilee weekend.

DH wants to cancel as he has already got the cold but he is a miserable bastard with a cold DD is heartbroken, we already cancelled Easter because of miserable weather, she really wants to go.

WWYD? Do you think it'd be ok, or will it be really dire? Long range forecast says temps of 12-14, no rain.

I still want to go, but was wondering if anyone had actually camped with a streaming cold and is it really worth it? (tbh, my colds tend to be 1-2 days of misery followed by a cough that won't quit for a week or so but is liveable with - so there's every chance I'll be over it by Friday if it comes on tonight desperately tries to look on bright side )

Ta... :)

Lovecat, oh god, camping, you need a nice warm bed, hot chocolate and a good film, not sleeping in a field. Would DD like to camp in a tent in the lounge. For your sanity and health turn lounge into the campsite.

:o Jem.

But I really wanna goooo.....

You're right, damnit. As I came home tonight I was having shivers and feeling 'high' so I think this may be full blown flu. Arses.

I would dose up on Sudafed and go for it personally....why don't you see how you feel tomorrow before you decide (although if you are like me you need to start packing today - which is what I am doing(!) to be ready on time!)
Hope you feel better - I would be gutted if our upcoming camping weekend was scuppered.
