We are going camping for one night (me, dh and 2xdds). So, we will need dinner, breakfast and lunch - what food do I need to bring (camping virgin)? We have a single ring gas stove.

you could take a frozen casserole/chilli/bolognese-type thing that only needs warming up? (make sure it is defrosting quickly enough and remove from cool bag if necessary); you can add tinned potatoes or similar. Or have fish and chips or a pub meal if you prefer?
Take oodles of cake/biscuits/cereal bars. My dc eat an incredible amount when out in the fresh air from dawn till dusk.
Wine.
Chocolate.
we make a packed lunch for day1 the night before we go and put it in the fridge, and freeze a packed lunch for day 2, so we don't have to bother making sandwiches etc if we're only away for 2 days.
tea
coffee
milk - we take one pint fresh and 1 frozen which defrosts ready for the next morning.
Sausages in rolls are lovely for breakfast - if you take frozen in a cool bag with cool blocks they will be fine for the next morning. Or bacon.
Oil for frying if you need it. i tend to forget.

Hot dog sausages, buns and fried onions are a good, quick lunch too. Smile

Depends how ambitious you want to be:

Dinner - BBQ? Boil a pan of pasta and then once it's drained add 2 jars of pasta sauce and heat all together in the one pan. Or take a ready made one-pot dinner and reheat. Bag of salad. French bread.

breakfast options:
Cereal - can take milk in a flask, a frozen carton and let it defrost, or just pack milk with a freezer block alongside it.
A bag of those brioche rolls?
Or take a sliiced loaf and a pack of bacon and make bacon sarnies in a frying pan, and then hand out apples or satsumas.

Lunch - Boil some frankurters, have in rolls, take tomatoes, cheese and bics, cake?

Take good snacks - cereal bars, bananas, cheese bics, BabyBels.

I wouldn't go without my dried vegetarian sausage mix, just add water, shape into sausages (I tend to go for meatball sized, flattened ones) and fry in a little oil. Don't need refrigeration and won't kill you if under cooked.
