Sleeping bags for DC

We usually take their duvets but need sleeping bags now. DC share a 122cm wide mattress in our folding camper and we need sleeping bags to help mark territory. Hmm

They are 10 & 7, average height and not especially susceptible to feeling the cold. We are also fairweather campers and only go between May Day and mid Sept.

Any recommdations would be great, thanks.

Get them an adult one each, as they would outgrow a childs one quickly. Plus, they will last into adulthood then. Are they the same gender? Only asking as you can get ones that zip together, which are warmer (body heat and all). Obviously bros and sis's probably wouldnt want this!

Vango, as a range in general is pretty good, DH and I have Vango tents and sleeping bags. There are 'Mummy' shaped ones, which thin at the ends, but I find them rather restrictive.

They can be synthetic filled or down filled. Down tends to be warmer, but lighter. More for winter/explorer type uses. Probably a synthetic one each would be best, as they can be used both for camping and if DCs need to take them to sleepovers or holiday parks etc.

Look for 'One Season' (Summer and indoor use) or 'Two Season' (Spring to Autumn). Three, four or five season probably not what you need.

Oh, and always throw in a hot water bottle each when packing to go, as if you experience a colder night, these warm the beds up a treat.

Thanks!

My research so far has put the Vango Nitestar 250 in top contention. They seem to get consistently good reviews.
