Walkie talkies

I'm looking at getting DD a walkie talkie set for xmas and have no idea where to start. Something like this maybe?
A long range is good. And I like the idea that you can receive and transmit together. And straight forward enough for a 7 year old to use.
What's the benefit of having more channels?
Any help/recommendations would be appreciated.

We bought some cheap - 17.99 walkie talkies a couple of years ago for then 6 y old DD as we noticed a family had them on holiday in Lanzarote who used them to keep in touch with their kids. Although we wouldn't be letting our child loose so to speak we thought good idea - saves us using mobiles! . . . . . . Unfortunately when we used them we did get irate security guards etc cutting in to our conversations abroad and then we also seemed to hit on the taxi conversations in Britain!!! So although we had some good fun it may be best to get some from a shop that can advise you all about switching to the different channels etc Good luck!!

Thankyou.
You know, I don't even know what sort of shop to try. Maybe Maplin or Currys or somewhere.

Yes, would rather avoid taxis etc.
I had a baby monitor that picked up the neighbours.
