Eurocamp la garangeoire & pointe st Gilles with 3 @ 1 yr old any tips?

Hi we're off to France with eurocamp to the two sites above in the vendee and Brittany next week. I wondered if anyone had any tips for these two sites and for our journey. Going on an overnight ferry Portsmouth to st Malo on way out and returning overnight roscoff to Plymouth on way back. We have four nights in a safari tent in garangeoire and four in a mobile home in benodet. Does anyone know what the terrain is like at the sites is will be need an all terrain buggy or will a stroller be ok? All tips gratefully received! Thanks

I've been to both sites rather amazingly..though the Benodet one was a while ago.

La Garangeoire would be fine with a stroller I'd have thought. When we went, in August, it was very hot and dry. It's a fantastic site, as you probably know.

I'm wondering whether an all terrain buggy might be better in Benodet so you can access the beach but aside from that a stroller would be fine on the campsite from what I remember. Actually, thinking back, when I took DD to Benodet we just took our cheapo stroller and it was perfect.

when we went to garangeoire in aug it was boiling during the day and freezing at night - we had gas fire on 1 morning. They said it was always like that. so I'd take warm clothing for evenings - in aug i could have done with a fleece. its a great site and we saw a brilliant rock group there

Stroller is fine for Pointe St Gilles. The beach right by the camp is quite small, but the main town beach is a pleasant stroll along a made-up road with footpath. When we were there (a while ago now) there was a 'dotto' train into town from the campsite, so a fold-up stroller would be easier to take on that.

The kids clubs were a short walk down a lane rather than directly on the campsite when were there.

Concarneau is an interesting place for a stroll and lunch, lots of lovely little shops.

And don't forget to try the crepes and cider.

Just wondering how fayemay got on with the safari tent as we are hoping to book 2 for may half term next year as a joint 40/50 birthday treat for dh and my best friend.
