Very impressed that a, you have already slumbered under canvas, b, that is was to okay it with canine.

Though I did take the whippy to Go Outdoors a couple of times when he was a puppy to run out in and out of all the tents when it was windy and get him used to the noise.

I have been meaning to ask you what are you planning to do wrt feeding when camping? I have been dragged to the darkside of raw by whippys refusal to eat anything else and getting super thin. So now he has raw meat and biscuits, but what to do when there is only a cool box?

Though thinking about it you have a dustbin Lab, so it may not cause you any problems.

What camping do you have planned?

Yo yo

this was my second time dans tent. We also went for the royal wedding weekend, absolutely glorious weather, albeit a bit windy. Off again for half term, back to the Lleyn as per usual. Am hoping like mad the weather improves a bit.

Dog was fine in the tent, although did have several rude awakenings of wet COLD nose in the face during the night. She was thrilled with the concept of me sleeping on the floor with her. I needed to try it out as dh and I are having to take her away with us for our 10th wedding anniversary (camping and walking in the lakes) and didn't want a scardey dog interrupting our romantic nights (har bloody har).

As I do indeed own a dustbin dog Grin I will probably mostly feed her kibble when we camp, although if I can find a butcher she might get some mince or chicken wings once or twice. I also might do sardines and an egg for another meal or two. Don't want to risk contamination of human food by stinky tripey dog food, even with our most awesome new cool box, although if you were very vigilant with double bagging portions up it would probably be fine.

Awesome new cool box sounds good, need link.

Cold wet nose and romantic nights sounds like an interesting combo Grin.

Have you by any chance bought the delta dog tying up thingamy? Am considering whether it would be more effective then the corkscrew into the ground one I currently have.

My Icey Tek mine is orange. Tis a beast.

Oh I ummmed and aaahed about the delta dog peg. I had already had a dangerous splurge on the website and bought two delta rock pegs and a stainless steel peg puller for a surprise present for dh (who says romance is dead).

We have a screwy in one which seemed to work pretty well on the beach so I think we'll stick with that for the time being.

Are you off camping anywhere nice?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 18/05/2011 12:24

Envy at Icey Tek, have had that bookmarked for a while, much lusting after, but dp would throw a dicky fit should I try to sneak one past him, there was a lot of these faces --> Hmm after buying two sodding sims from lidl, much complaining about 'space' and 'car'.

We are going to Deepdale next month, not the same since it changed hands, but my Mum is coming and staying in the hostel so it is very convienient.

Clippesby Hall for the first time in July, ds very excited by the fact that they have built a mini 'BeWILDerwood' on site, I fear it will be smaller than in ds's head.

lol Sounds good though.

You will never be able to sneak an icey tek past anyone I'm afraid. ridiculous huge thing it is. Food stayed cold though Grin

2 little sims from lidl! pah Hardly take up any room I'll bet.
