We went to Sea barn farm outside of the school holidays in early June this year and loved it (DD was 18 mo). Was very peaceful and had lovely views. Nice sheltered fields from the wind. Nice clean toilets etc. Lots of lovely birds on the site too. The shop is very basic if you haven't got stuff with you though, and it's not that near any good beaches if that's important to you - as in you have to drive to them!

Hope that helps.

How far are the beaches?

Sorry I never replied! The nearest beaches are in Weymouth, which is only about fifteen/twenty minutes drive. Quieter ones like Lyme Regis are more like 30 minutes away...

We went to Sea Barn Farm a couple of years ago - we went in JUly (so peak season) and hated it so much we left early. It was hugely overcrowded, no designated pitches so we just had to squeeze in anywhere we could find a space, and the staff were incredibly rude and just out to make a profit - our enjoyment of our holiday was of zero interest or concern to them. The final straw was when they charged my sister £10 to come onto the campsite to visit us for the day.

East Fleet Farm just up the road looked much more pleasant, with designated pitches and a better stocked camping shop! And they don't charge for day visitors - we checked!

I wouldn't go back to Sea Barn Farm if they offered me a free stay...

Lisa you'll have to wave, you won't be that far from me you know (we go there quite a lot- well it's sister site Christchurch. If you get bored mail me and we will meet in Monmouth for a coffee.

I would absolutely agree Bracelands the better for you though.

Have camped at East Fleet; abolsutely gorgeous site- enough to do (pub meals, shop, park etc), fab toilet blocks, bus or easy drive into Weymouth, but not too noisy. Pitch sizes not humungous but easy enough to ask. Highly recommended.

Bracelands is a 2 minute walk from my house so if you decide to come let me know we can do coffee hun
