My tent is full of water - help!

We had our last camping trip of the year and when we took our tent down it was soaking. So when we got home I suggested we pitch it in the garden to let it dry off instead of letting it mould away in the bag our get our house all dirty. HOWEVER our garden isn't really big enough for it (it is a six man, sewn in ground sheet affair) and we had to half pitch it and it fell down one night.

So i just went to take it in and found it is full of water. ARGH! Any advice on how i get it dry? Should i just bite the bullet and take it inside and cover our house with it? It is currently crapply draped over our washing line as it was too dark for me to do anything and DP is out on the piss. I can still hear the water sloshing around inside. DP is going to be really miffed with me when he finds out.

Also, do i need to re waterproof it or anyting?

Tip the worst of it out. mop up a bit with puddles and then perhaps drape it down your banister?

Do all of above and then take to a local park and put in up to check it dry properly putting it up in the middle of the day when there is a light breeze should be enough to finish off the drying and give you space to fold it properly. We have done this takes some towel encase you have to dry any bits a dust pan and brush can also be useful in getting bits out of the tent. We also try and put out tent up just before we do our fist camp of the year. hope you get it dry
