I’m hungry

Hi all
I have been losing weight at a steady pound a week for the last four months, eating 1300 calories a day.
I am really happy with the rate of loss and have been finding eating healthier has improved my skin, hair and nails, so all good.
But in last couple of weeks I have been getting hungry, this hasn’t been a problem up until recently.
I calorie count on My Fitness Pal and eat 64g protein, 169g carbs and 43g fat per day, I normally eat more protein if I can.
I am 5ft 3 and 11st 6lbs.
Job is on my feet for 8 hours per day.
Any advice on what I should do to deal with the hunger pangs without putting the weight back on would be great.

I'm slightly shorter than you so maintain on 1300, I had the same issue.
I found the easiest way was to do intermittent fasting (after the first week or so) because my body then got used to not eating.
A hot drink everytime I felt hungry often helped. There were still times I was hungry.
Now I'm maintaining I've relaxed the IF (or after Christmas/a holiday) and just do it on days I need the extra calories. However breakfast is less than 150 calories and usually fruit or a slice of toast. Ive found for maintenance three meals and limited snacks is my best way but having to portion control. However I always leave my plan 100 calories down because knowing I have those means I can have a snack if need be (its psychological for me), if i don't use them I build them up for when I might want more calories as I count over a week.

Well done on your weight loss. 1300 is quite low especially seeing as your job is quite active. Could you maybe up your calories to 1500 to see if it is more sustainable? I think most people would struggle with a calorie intake of 1300 for more than a few weeks. Maybe use chat GPT to work out what your likely maintence calories would be for your height/ weight/ activity. I’m sure you would still be in a deficit with more calories but would be much more sustainable in the long term. Good luck!
