According to an online calculator my BMR is 1330 calories. I exercise (5 weekly hours of cardio, according to my Garmin that was around 3100 calories). My total calorie intake last week was 11,400 calories. According to some BBC calculator I need 1600 to maintain (not taking exercise into account), which is 11200 a week.

So I have around 3000 calorie deficit, but no change week.on week. I'm not that bothered, but I would have expected to have moved by at least 100g!

I'm in a similar boat. Significantly calorie deficit, decent amount of exercise and I've put on 2lbs 😑

The first thing I’d check is are you actually eating those calories, as in are you weighing out and scanning every single thing you put in your mouth and recording accurate calories. Lots of people truly believe they are but aren’t measuring oil, butter, sauces, that one biscuit or handful of crisps they grabbed on a break, the can of fanta they had with lunch, the 3 coffees they had etc.

If you are absolutely positive of the calories, it does just sometime take time to see results, and not all results reflect in a change in the scales. If you are exercising as well as dieting you will not always see a change in weight as it can be that your body composition changes as muscle grows in the place of fat. X

Yes, I'm positive!

I'm just trying to get back to this which wasn't even that long ago ( 6 weeks ago!) in those 6 weeks I stopped working out as much and started taking tons of antihistamines. I didn't change my diet much during those weeks, but I look like if I had gained at least 5kg!

So I've gone back to my usual.routone with much fewer calories, hoping to get back on track.

My BMR is 1400 for no exercise but I do 15-20k steps a day minimum when on a diet so I’m burning around 2000-2100 calories and I’m eating 1200 max. I am only 2wks into this diet and lose 2.2lbs in week 1, and 2lbs in week 2. It will probably start to drop off now to 1lb a week. It is hard work but the small numbers add up. You might need to increase steps so you’re burning more

I exercise at least 45mins each day (cardio) I don't think I necessarily need to move more

My total calorie intake last week was 11,400 calories. This means you are eating 1600 kcal per day and that is the reason why you are not losing.

Ignore the exercise kcal and focus on what goes in your mouth.

I'd have to not exercise :/ because without the extra cals (and exercise) I feel like I'll faint.

Anyway, I weighed myself today and lost 1kg, so life is good!
