How often do you have a 'treat'?

How often do you have a biscuit, chocolate, slice of cake etc? I'm having 1-2 small chocolate bars a day (100 calories each) but think I need to reduce. How often do you have something like this?

Depends whatever else I’ve eaten and what my daily calorie total looks like tbh. When losing weight I was sticking to 1,300-1,500 calories per day (4+ stone lost) and did have at least one treat per day (freddo, one finger twirl or whatever) now I’m on maintenance calories it’s higher so can afford a bit extra.

A really filling veg and lentil soup for example like this one (I don’t put the flour in or it’s too thick and don’t eat the bread) makes 3 portions for me rather than 2, keeps me really full and means I can afford a treat or two.

About three times a day, but I don't consider them to be treats, they're just food and a part of what I eat over the course of the day.

I work everything into my calorie allowance. Had pizza for dinner tonight and still meeting my calorie target. It's a sustainable way to live, you don't need to cut things out.

Every day. Wouldn't stick to it if I couldn't

I wouldn't eat a slice of cake every day but I do have a couple squares of chocolate every day, that's about 100cals vs a cake which would be closer to 300. If I wanted a slice of cake I would probably choose lower calorie options that day.

I’ve given up bothering much with cake and chocolates because they are so high cal and I find it frustrating how little you get out of them, not really willing to use up many calories on a few tiny mouthfuls - yes I like them but I am not enjoying eating tiny amounts that are gone in seconds, I would rather just have something of a decent size on a special occasion. I replace them day to day with things that feel like they last longer. I really like the dairy Lea dippers, low calorie ice lollies, ice pops, jelly pots, that kind of thing. I do eat something like that every day. I used to eat a lot of sugar but nowadays I tend to eat cheese as an extra snack, bloody love it. I work everything into my calorie allowance. I just found the tiny squares of chocolate just not enough to satisfy me I wanted to eat it all so I am best not to bother

Every day. I have a mini milkybar with my lunch every day (65 cals). I like something sweet after meals. Then after dinner I have some Oppo ice cream (around 100 cals). I factor them into my daily calories as I have a sweet tooth

If your daily calories are 1000 then 200 cals out of that is a LOT

If your daily calories are 1500 then 200 calories is a bit better % wise

I wouldn't eat chocolate if I were aiming for a calorie deficit

I have some if I want to which is not that often, usually twice a week. I count it into my calorie budget. I’ve been eating a diet very high in various plants for a long time now and I don’t really crave sweet things so often anymore. For instance, it’s broad beans season now and I got to love them so much that I had them instead of a cheesecake my family had this week. The chewing of nice, thick skin of freshly cooked broad beans was so much more appealing than eating a spongey sweet substance. I don’t know how this happened, probably just replaced one habit with another.
