I have lost (and gained) weight over the years due to health issues and pregnancies

I’m 5’5 and was 15st 4. I’m now 14st 5. I am completely pear shaped with big legs/bum and have never been less than 11st as an adult. My BMI range is 7st 13lb - 10st 10lb

I’m currently 1 stone down using Noom for a month, and recently I have Been looking back at old photos. I looked ok at 13 stone but better at 12. At 11st I look great but I remember it was almost just impossible to maintain and I always ended up back at 12st. I don’t want to set myself an impossible goal!

When setting your goals, what do you base it on?

The weight that I was for my early 20s plus a few pounds. This is also half way through my BMI range. I don't think I would want to be above my BMI range as it is harder on the joints to carry the weight. I recently lost 8lbs and realised that is 3.5 large bags of flour which feels loads.

I have never actually sustained that so we shall see! It may end up being plus half a stone.

Initially it was what I was before I had children. Then when I got there I dropped it so it would be half a stone above what I was when I got married 20 years ago which just about put me in the normal BMI range. Got to that and felt like I could carry on actively trying to lose so dropped it by another half a stone which I'm now maintaining. I found that making smaller targets was better for me. Took no notice of the BMI range tbh
