Why am I not losing weight on 1200 cals ?!

I'm 50 and have been doing Myfitnesspal since Jan 1, and have stuck to 1200 cals every day since (in fact I'm usually around 1100). I go walking pretty much every day too. I've lost 6 kg since Jan 1st but its really stalled lately, I've only lost 0.3kg each week for the past 3 weeks, its very frustrating! I started off at 84 kg which is far too heavy for my 5ft 4 height and am only down to 77.3kg today 2.5 months later, I can't understand why it is so slow? I'm absolutely diligent about sticking to my 1200 allowance, I never cheat or go over so why? I used to be able to lose weight so easily when I was younger Sad a couple of weeks cutting back and I'd be down 5kgs. What am I doing wrong? I've read enough to know that starvation mode is not a thing! All help appreciated.

Good news!

Sometimes there is no logic.

Hormonal bloating, water retention caused by a salty meal, how sluggish your bowels are can all make a difference when you weigh. Fidgety days, less fidgety days all affect how much energy we use.

700g down is a lot, keep going, you will make it.

Try using a tape measure instead of scales.

I lost 5 stone calorie counting. I’m 40. When I got like this (maybe 3 times over the year it happened) I would go mad for 4 days. Eat whatever you want.

The next week I’d be completely strict again and I’d be down 2lbs. You need to kind of remind your body it’s even in a deficit sometimes I think?!

It's almost impossible to realistically calculate calories in any case. I have read that many products underestimate the number by quite a long way, so it may be that you are eating more calories than you think.
Also everybody processes food in different ways.
Focus on high protein, low carbs and fruit and veggies, with some dairy.
For reference, I bought the book 'Spoon Fed' by Tim Spector and found it a revelation.
