2000 calories a day to lose weight?

Hi, I've been trying to lose weight for a while since having DD 8 months ago and I'm really struggling, have around 3 stone to lose.
My Fitbit suggests I burn around 2600 cals on an average day (I know this probably isn't very accurate). If I don't eat around 2000 cals a day I'm really hungry and then often end up binging in the evening. I read about people eating 1200 cals a day and I just feel like I would find that impossible. I'm vegetarian but do try and eat lots of protein and fibre to stay full.
Has anyone found they've been able to lose weight eating around 2000 cals a day?!

The NHS are not experts on weight loss. If they ate advising women all eat 1400 calories to 'diet' they are giving very bad advice. A woman who is 16-20 stone will burn 3000 plus a day just getting around. If she restricts to half her calorie needs she will fail, very quickly.

How is the NHS advice 'evidence based' if it advises the same intake for every woman? That's madness, and completely the opposite of evidence based

My Fitbit is also a lying cunt when it comes to calories burnt. It seems about right on lazy days but as soon as I exercise it gives me up to 1000 calories. I am not doing anything high intensity, just talking about walking, gardening etc.
II also tend to eat in the evenings so I have planned my diet around this. I do 16/8 fasting. Have small lunch at 2pm, small dinner with family at 6pm and then have enough calories to also eat something decent in the evening.

Everyone is different and you calorie intake depends on you mostly. 2000 would be too much for me but I know women who's daily amount is 2300 and they are losing weight. There is no universal amount that would be great for everyone x
