High Fibre Not Low Carb anyone?

I tried a variation of the F2 diet before Christmas, with a bit of success (now all put back on over Christmas)

But I found that a highish carb diet drastically improved my sleep and I def felt better. I have been trying to lose weight low carbing for ages but I have consistently gained weight. I don't think low carbing is for me, I understand the low fat, high fibre stuff better, and it's the way I managed my weight years back when I was slim.

Anyone want to join in a GI / high fibre type diet?

There is not a one-diet-fits-all, so you know what you respond too and you should go for it.
High fibre probably means also higher quality food such as non -refined grains like brown rice instead of white rice, more vegetables and fruit with the peel on.

Any diet that restricts one macro (carb or fat) somehow pushes the person to avoid processed foods in the first weeks or months until they go into the cheat-versions of the junk they miss and then slowly sabotage the process.

Any healthy diet will work and a high fibre diet will be certainly healthier than many versions of low carbs you see in here, so go for it.

Thanks Kaiken. I think that I can do this with great food, looking forward to it

When you choose high quality food, it is simpler. Pick a food item and just ask yourself, will it help me achieve the body and health I want?

There is this obsession about macros. People slamming nutritional facts in each other's face and yet, people are fatter than ever.
Just go back to normal food and not the sum of macros.

Try to discover new vegetables and new way of cooking them, nourish your body, be mindful of how many nuts and seeds you have , because yes they are rich in nutrients but we make oil with them .

Of course a plate of pasta covered in processed cheese will not make you have the body you want. But a Middle Easter salad with sweet potatoes, 2 table spoons of couscous, onion, tomato and cucumber will and will be colourful and delicious at the same time.
Keep you carb and dress them with colours.
