Binge eating after weight loss

I started calorie counting (Again 🙄) 3 weeks ago
In that time i have managed to lose 16 lbs, but the last 2/3 days I just cannot stop eating and im mad at myself for undoing all my hard work!
I was doing over an hours exercise every day, walking over 10k steps and eating very healthy albeit very low calorie meals
Since saturday its just all gone out the window
I have struggled with ED since the age of 17 so more that half my life. I am honestly in despair and just feel like im in a vicious cycle
Currently weigh 16.2 down from 17.4 but just so mad at myself. My target is to lose 100lbs and i just dont know if i will ever achieve it

16 pounds is amazing! Well done. We all have a little blip occasionally, the key is to shake of the blip and get back to tracking. I don’t know if it’s the colder weather or the darker nights but I’ve been logging my calories for ages but the last couple of weeks I can’t seem to fill myself and have over eaten chocolate and crisps. I’m not going to think “oh stuff it, may as well give up” I’m going to stick to my meal plans and look forward to feeling the benefits of healthier eating because I feel bloated and sluggish eating this junk. You CAN do it, you’ve already lost a good amount. I bet 2 months ago you were thinking ‘I can’t even lose a stone’ and you’ve already exceeded that -well done!

How many calories were you eating? That’s a really fast loss.

Maybe up the calories and up the protein and see if that helps with the urges to binge?

You've cut far too many calories out - your body will rebel against that and cause hormonal changes that will make all willpower vanish. You can be as angry as you like, but the reality is that you would not be able to 'out discipline' the changes on leptin and ghrelin levels, resulting in your body increasing hunger and reducing how full you feel after eating. Thus the massive binging.

Cut a smaller amount: 10-20% of your total calorific need. Lose more slowly, but much more realistically. For the average woman with a 2000 TDEE, that means eating 1600-1800 per day. No lower.

It is not a sprint, it is a marathon. No wonder you collapsed. Yes you went ahead of the pack until you crashed.

Change your strategy and accept that it will be a life long change of lifestyle. Maybe reduce you activity and don't go ultra-low in calories. Make better choices. What were you eating?

Fill up on protein so you crave less. Try not starve yourself as you’ll set yourself up to fail. One day binge is only an issue when it’s followed by 3 more days etc. Weightloss isn’t I steady line down - accepting this really helped me! Keep going, you’re doing great.

If you feel the need to binge, have a day or two eating maintenance calories, then go back to the calorie restriction.

Also, slow and steady wins the race. Don't cut calories too drastically. Especially if you're doing so much exercise.

Work out your maintenance calories with exercise included, then take away 500 kcals.

Good luck and try not to be too hard on yourself
