Sedentary - how many calories should I eat?

I've tried using some online calorie counters but they all seem to give too many calories.
I'm currently 165lbs and want to get down to 119lbs as this is what I was before my DS was born and 3 years of bad eating habits ensued!
At the moment my life is pretty sedentary. I'm at home most of the day and often struggle to fit exercise in.
I've set my daily calorie goal at 1300 a day. Is this enough to lose weight if I'm sedentary?

Work out your Tdee. That’s the amount of calories to maintain current weight. To lose weight reduce by 20%.

13000 you will lose weight, you may even be able to have slightly more.
Just make sure you weigh and account for everything. Even spreading butter (or whatever) on your bread & measure the olive oil you use in the pan etc. The sneaky calories add up!
My Fitness Pal has been life changing for me -good luck.

Thanks for the link! It's around 1400 so that's good to know. I am going to try to up my exercise too. I use MyFitnessPal too. Really makes you realise where the sneaky calories are!
I just wasn't sure about the daily calories they estimate as I've found so many different variations on the internet that it was hard to know which one was accurate.
I've tried to change my life style and eating habits 3 times this year! I've absolutely got to make it stick this time as I'm over carrying all this excess weight around.

Just remember that exercise is good for fitness but it’s diet that counts for weight loss. Don’t bother adding your exercise to MFP and eating your exercise calories back. It tends to overestimate the calories burned so you end up thinking ‘great, I have an extra 300 calories I can eat’ and end up putting weight on rather than losing -I speak from painful experience!
Good luck

If MFP says 1400 then eat 1400. Might not sound much but that extra 100 might be the difference between you sticking to it and not. But also, how much have you told MFP you want to lose each week to get 1400? I am similar weight to you and I can eat 1600-1700 per day and lose weight even with zero exercise. That’s if I aim to lose 1lb per week max.

Be 100% honest about what you are eating and log absolutely everything.

Do not log exercise and eat those calories back.
