I've been doing it for a week & lost 6lbs. It suits me quite well with a 7 month old, minimal prep & time. Anyone done it long term what was your weight loss in how long? I want to lose another 2 stone by June.
Thanks

I have 1 meal a day when I stay home but I'm not doing it to diet. So I will have a biscuit with tea and drink juice. I don't count calories. I have a 20m old and I spend that much time thinking about him and his meals that the day passes so quick it's 4pm by the time I'm hungry then I make a big meal for me and DP. If I'm at work then I have 3 meals, I'm always starving then. Do you find that you're hungrier than normal if you leave your house!?

I do think it's something you adapt to, we are skint too so we can't afford for me to be at home eating all day even if I wanted to. I'm sure there is lots of reasons why you shouldn't plan do it, but it's the way I've always eaten. I've never had problems with my weight or health.

You are literally starving your body of what it needs to function. You might be losing weight (for now) but your hormones, digestive system etc. need the calories to do their jobs not to mention that it actually slows your metabolism down overall.

There's a reason that there are calorie guidelines of 2000 a day. Yes, there is room for cutting that down but not to over half the recommended amount.

Intermittent fasting is a recognised format of dieting and does work, but it means eating your calories within a specific timeframe, not cutting them in half and only eating once.

Please think about your insides as well as the out.

I did this, pre child, about 3 years ago. Lost 2.5 stone. Felt perfectly healthy, maintained gymming 6 days a week for 2 plus hours and got told it was the best I’d ever looked. Made sure I got a variety of veg and fruit in the one meal, tended to restrict my eating to 2 hours a day. After I’d lost the weight I wanted to I kept my calories up with a pre-gym shake and snack. Google warrior diet, there are lots of people who succeed this way.

Calories are the same if spread out or eaten all at once, same as vitamins/nutrients. As long as that one meal is consisting of a big bowl or veggies/salad/fruit it is no worse than eating it spread out throughout the day.

tatree thanks, how long did it take you to lose 2.5stone. I'm looking to lose 2 in 5 months in time for holiday

I lost it fairly slowly over a year - this was in starts and stops though, so happily over ate when on holiday/socialising with friends/Christmas etc. Found it incredibly easy, but it did coincide with me getting into the gym massively and lifting weights which obviously helped. I have 1 stone of baby weight to lose and it’s a lot harder this time round on maternity! Less free time for excercise and a lot of time mooching around the house with easy access to food Angry

I've noticed it's harder to lose since having a baby, it was much easier to lose weight pre pregnancy even on the same diet... not sure why that is!
