Keeping track- app or pen and paper?

any opinions on the best/most effective way of keeping track of your calories if you're trying to lose weight? I'm been using Fat Secret and prefer it to Myfitnesspal, but I'm thinking I might go old style and write them down, think I may be more accountable that way! I'm trying to lose weight but my will power is non existent at the moment!! How's everyone keeping an eye on their calories? Thanks!

My fitness pal. It works brilliantly for me. Sorry...

Pen and paper. Using a lovely pad of paper. Every day a new sheet.

I've used different apps. I currently use the one that comes with Fitbit (but don't recommend it).

When you use pen-and-paper where do you look up calories from (and nutrients if you record any of them)?

Pen and paper. I find the apps too fiddly, just can't get on with them.

I find most food has the nutritional info on the packet. For anything else I just google it. I don't obsessively weigh and measure absolutely everything but I do write down everything that I eat.

I print off food diaries online, and fill it in one day a week, so plan what to buy at the same time.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a space for extras e.g milk and snacks, total at the bottom and tick off each item when i eat it.
People may think this is a faff and boring, it isn't, i have lost nearly six and a half stone since doing this.
