The heaviest I've ever been

Weighed myself this morning and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. I must have gained and lost 50 stone over the last decade. I wish I was exaggerating. My bmi is off the chart.

I obviously have a problem with food but I'm not sure it will ever be resolved. I'm seriously worried about my health. I'm worried about TTC at this weight. I eat too much, and I drink too much.

So I'm starting again today. I have my old weight watchers scales, MFP and a pedometer. Does anyone want to join me?

Are you dieting or changing your eating habits/exercise levels for good?

Rumandcokeplease · 13/10/2014 10:55

I will join you! I'm the heaviest I've been for a long time and my clothes are too tight! I want to lose weight rather than buy new clothes! I've got the mfp app but haven't got on with it in the past but will give it another go!

How much do you want to lose?

smellycandles · 13/10/2014 12:02

Jilted - the latter but realistically it's going to feel like a diet to begin with. I'm going to have to get DH along for the ride.

Rumandcoke - I really like the MFP app. I've tried weight watchers again recently but the app isn't very good. I eat out a fair bit and I find lots of places publicise the calories in their food now which make MFP easier. Good luck to you! I have a lot of weight to lose - about eight stone. I think I need to break it into more manageable chunks though.

I'd like to join in please. Started with my fitness pal today. Hoping to make 'life' changes' such as smaller portions, healthier choices and cooking from scratch.

I put in the 'set up' that id like to lose 2lb a week and that gives me 1290 calories a day. I've done fine today, long may it continue.

Looking to add exercise 3 times a week and be more active in general.

Let's do it ladies!!!! Grin

This is me , the heaviest I've ever been. And constantly on a diet . :( maybe if I logged it to mfp for more than two days. :0 need to do something drastic

beckslovestimmy · 27/10/2014 16:16

I've done MFP now for 1 week. 1290 calories daily (didn't really track at the weekend but was much better than I would be normally minus the bottle of wine!!! and I've lost 4lb. Given me the motivation for the following week.

DLCC · 29/10/2014 10:42

I'm the heaviest I've been in years, I need to lose a stone so have reactivated the MFP app. I'm putting it down to having been on antifungal tablets (for a manky toenail) for the last 4 months, I'm due to take my last tablet tomorrow and looking back in my diary have put on 11 pounds since 14th July (when I started the course)

I'm looking for healthy breakfast ideas as this is where I struggle, I also tend to binge when I get in from work and finishing off the children's tea is a habit I need to break!

smellycandles · 29/10/2014 13:50

I've fallen off the wagon and need to get back on it (again!)

Healthy breakfasts - at weekends I make a proper breakfast, so scrambled egg on toast or on a sandwich thin. Occasionally with smoked salmon or something. I struggle during the week because it's too easy to grab a pastry and usually eat at my desk.

I quite like porridge pots, the ones where you just add hot water and give it a stir. Takes a minute and is tasty and filling.

Other favourites including tablespoon of low fat peanut butter (sainsburys) on a bagel (no butter) and zero fat greek yogurt with fruit and a drizzle of honey

I love breakfast and can't cope without it. I should probably go for lower cal options though...

Would any of those work for you?

They sound great, thank you. I'm a bit partial to poached eggs atm so was thinking of two eggs on a muffin?

Porridge is a winner too as I could just fill a pot with hot water and eat it at my desk. I find I'm not hungry as soon as I wake up but at around 9/930?

smellycandles · 29/10/2014 17:52

Yes, ditto! I like breakfast around then, too.

Eggs on muffins is good.
