Taking off wedding ring after weight gain and how to get rid of ring muffin top.

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post... anyway.... I had to go for a CT scan today and had to take my wedding ring off, and it was embarrassingly difficult. Lots of soap and swearing. I've decided to get my ring made bigger as I've had ring muffin top for a couple of years now. But I have a big indent in my finger where my ring was and obviously this will affect the size. Will this settle over time? Is there anything I can do to make my finger "straight" again? I hope you know what I mean and can help, my finger feels odd without my ring and I can't wait to get it back on again!

Soak your finger in hot water. Hot water helps the blood vessels that have been constricted by the ring to expand and return to normal.

Massage your finger every night with a gentle hand lotion. Hand lotion helps moisturise your skin, removing the dead skin that may have built up around the ring.

Allow time for the indentation to go away. If you wore your ring every day for numerous years, don't expect the indentation to disappear overnight. Eventually, given enough time, the indentation will go away and your finger will look as it did before you wore it.

I know exactly what you mean and have just checked my finger (took it off because of pregnancy) and my muffin top has gone!!

So I'm guessing it will settle? Mines been off for a few months now so not really sure how long it took.

Thank you Daddyorchips, I will follow your advice. But won't tell hubs because he'll tell me that the washing up bowl is full of warm water...
And Cbeebies, months? I hope not! Thanks x
