restorative justice for dealing with bullying - any experiences of this?

I would be just so grateful for your view on this:

has anyone had experience of going through this with their child, either from a 'wrongdoer' or bully's perspective, or from a victim's perspective?

does it work?

please share your experiences. I am not entirely sure it is going to be worth putting my child through it - some anti bullying charities seem to think it is a waste of time, whereas others seem to think it very effective.

please please help me on this!

I've been watching this, sorry you have not received any replies. I'm not sure I agree with some of the popular bullying policies which force the "victim" and "bully" to discuss the issues face to face. I think this could be humiliating for the victim. I'm not sure what form restorative justice takes but this also sounds somewhat humiliating too. Shame there are no other opinions / thoughts.

This is a really tricky issue. I feel it is more about the bully than the victim.

Bullies are often liars & manipulative even at a young age.

Is your child old/mature enough to go through this? What if it makes not a jot of difference?

The victim has to be able to look the bully in the eye, otherwise it's just people talking around them.

You can tell I lean one way. My experience comes less from being a parent and more from the workplace.
