Police Special Powers, and Teenagers Wrongly "Sentenced" Under Them

Do you think that malicious accusation should be sufficient for police to pass down a two year "sentence" under their new special powers?

What powers are these?

This seriously worries me, my 14yr old ds was accused of a pretty horrific crime which turned out to be a case of mistaken identity - he looked a lot like the boy who commited the crime and someone gave his name to the police.
It took a lot of convincing them with multiple pieces of evidence proving that it wasn't him and 6hrs with the police to convince them. My poor son was absolutely terrified.

I completely lost faith and trust in the police that day. A less articulate/clued up family or a teen without support would have found themselves charged and in secure care.

I refer to "special powers" such as CPO`s, Community Protection Orders, and the police having been dishing them out life no tomorrow. It can only require a small group of individuals to have it in for a person for that person to be served. I use the term sentence by way its fuller definition, the police dictate where you can go, and who you can speak to. One slip and you can receive a criminal record, and be fined up to £2000. These special powers are served against adults too. My mistake had simply been my sitting down for a cup of coffee. I have to date produced fifty A4 sheets of evidence in attempting to clear my name. No process leading to compensation exists for mistakes that they might make, and apparently they make many. They have the power of God now, they are the judge, and there is no jury.
