Older Girl Pulled Down DS's Trousers at School (he's 4)

DS didn't mention anything yesterday after school but this morning at breakfast said that an older girl at school pulled down his trousers at playtime and laughed at his pants.

DP and I were shocked. He's only 4.5yrs and in P1.

I am hoping that a teacher or someone responsible saw this happen but there was no mention of it in his school/teacher communication book.

There is a parents evening next week so I will bring it up with his teacher then (if nothing else happens beforehand) if he mentions anything else happen then I will speak to her before next week.

Any words of advice? I feel so so sad about this, he's not even 5 years old and the thought of any bullying starting now when he has only been at school for a few weeks makes me feel sick and sad :(

Speak to the teacher today. Don't wait. Poor little fella.

I'd feel sad too. Speak to the teacher immediately! Also speak to DS & talk to him about how to respond if it ever happens again. He should understand that he's not in the wrong if it does & how to ensure that a teacher/adult is informed.

Thanks for the replies. DP is taking him to school tomorrow so will speak to the teacher then. He hasn't made any friends at school so far. I'm sad and worried for him :(

Oh my - that has nearly made me cry. Your poor Ds. No wonder you are sad and worried.

Hope the school deal with it speedily.

Just thought I would update you - DP called the school to discuss it and they said that although no teacher had seen it one of the other children in the playground had reported it. Girl in question was made to apologise to DS in front of his class and then they discussed why it was inappropriate behaviour. He didn't seem nearly as bothered by it all as we were!
