Elvie breast pump - is it worth the cost?

I've got my eye on a single elvie pump. I currently use a fabulous double plugged in medela pump that is brilliant and worked great when I had only the baby. Now I've got a toddler and a baby I just aren't getting to plugging myself in. I then can't do anything when pumping because dleven if I put batteries in when I move around I leak.

Not sure if that's coherent but the jist is does the elvie really allow you to roam around and get on with stuff whilst expressing? I've got huge breasts as well (currently a K) if that makes a difference.

Any feedback welcome as it's soooo expensive.

Same issue here- I've just caved in abs bought a double Elvie.

I will let you know how I get on!

It’s great, really useful and very easy

However I found it a bit of a faff to clean every time (not hard but dicking around sterilising stuff), and the bits can be a little fiddly. If you don’t have then in the right place the suction isn’t as strong and it can take a few goes to make it work. It also isn’t as invisible as the adverts would have you believe, I have big boobs too and it still stuck out of my boobs considerably. Not to mention it has a bright light that you can see through black clothes. You also have to be careful about not bending over too much, as the milk can leak out

That’s the negatives

The positives are that once on, it’s very quick and efficient. Really easy to use once on the go and I liked how few pieces there are.

Unfortunately my baby didn’t really want bottled milk after a while so I’m thinking of selling mine and I’d only have bought it if I knew the baby would take bottled milk

I have one, it’s not perfect for the money it still has its problems but I would pay 100 times over for how much freedom it gives you. It is much quieter and so much nicer not to have to hold it onto your boob or stuck to wires.
It did take my boobs a few days to adjust to it, it must be a different type of suction or something but I’m so pleased I have it now!

Thanks both for your helpful reviews.
I'm an H cup so I'm concerned about it bulging through my work clothes.

Also good to know about the light and bending forward!

The customer service sounds very professional too.

I currently use a rented hospital grade medela which is the absolute best thing ever, but I'm stuck to the plug socket and it's heavy, noisy and not portable.

I'm excited for the Elvie to arrive and hoping it's a positive impact for me.

Thanks for the feedback.

I got one and love it. The medela hasn't been used since.

Thanks for updating, @cupofdecaf, I'd been thinking about getting one!
